Winnipeg Jets Head Coach announces team has lost one of their best players for the rest of the series
After falling behind 4-1 the Winnipeg Jets fought back to tie the game at 4 in the final minute of regulation. The Jets would ultimately fall in the 2nd overtime, but possibly even more costly it appears that they've lost one of their best players for at least the rest of the series.
After tonight's loss Rick Bowness made the following announcement:
#NHLJets HC Rick Bowness just said D Josh Morrissey is done for the series with a lower-body injury Morrissey entered the series banged up but had tried to play through the injury. Today however Morrissey played only 2 shifts before skating the the bench gingerly on the powerplay before heading directly to the dressing room.
This is a huge blow for the Jets who now trail the series 2-1, with Game 4 scheduled for Monday.
