William Nylander to the San Jose Sharks? Could the Maple Leafs and Sharks make this summer's blockbuster trade
Reports have surfaced and persisted that William Nylander and the Toronto Maple Leafs are far apart on a new deal. After losing Johnny Gaudreau last summer, new General Manager Brad Treliving is set on shopping one of his most valuable assets
After scoring 40 goals last season Nylander is viewed as a hot commodity across the league. One team that could be interested in acquiring Nylander is the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks are shopping a star of their own in Erik Karlsson.
Howard Berger, a Toronto area sports reporter recently reported that the Maple Leafs had been in talks with the Sharks about Karlsson's services.
The #Leafs have also spoken to San Jose (along with Carolina and Pittsburgh) about Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson.
Would a Nylander for Karlsson swap work for both teams? Or are there too many moving parts for this to come together?
