Tomorrow, the Battle of Alberta goes outdoors when the Edmonton Oilers take on the Calgary Flames in the Heritage Classic, the first outdoor game of the New National Hockey League season.
Today, ahead of the game, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement, is anything but typical though; take a look.
Building on the anticipation, Environment Canada decided to get in on the weekends festivities by releasing a Special Weather Statement that would get fans even more hyped.
The statement details the weather at puckdrop while mentioning all the things happening during the intermission, warning people to dress appropriately and pack extra toques in case of hat tricks.
This is not something I expected to see today, but it's awesome nonetheless, and yes, this is a real weather statement.
