Former NHLer Paul Bissonnette made a brutal statement on Connor Bedard in a recent intervention on TNT.

Yesterday, the Chicago Blackhawks and the Edmonton Oilers were in action, showcasing two of the most dynamic Canadian players in the entire National Hockey League: Connor McDavid and Connor Bedard.

With no surprise, the Oilers ended up winning the game, with McDavid and Bedard both tallying an assist, but the Hawks' first-overall pick in 2023 attracted a lot more criticism after the game from an influent analyst: Paul Bissonnette.

The former NHLer turned analyst and co-host of the Spittin' Chiclets podcast Paul Bissonnette talked about Bedard in an intervention during last night's broadcast on TNT.

Biznasty didn't mince his words on Bedard, saying Bedard lacks many details to his game, that the Blackhawks won't win games if he continues to play like that, and went as far as comparing his play to "pond hockey".

In his own words:

"There's so many little details to his game that he's lacking right now They're going to continue to lose hockey games if that's how he's playing. That is pond hockey."

Bissonnette isn't the first influential analyst to have strong words on Bedard. A few days ago, the legendary Mark Messier also gave his honest opinion of Bedard.

He simply stated that there was no quicker way to destroy team morale than having players who don't earn their ice time, such as Bedard.

Here's what he said:

"There's no quicker way to destroy the morale of a team than to have players who don't earn their ice time."

Also, the former referee Tim Peel also made a big statement on X earlier this year, when he said that Celebrini is better than Bedard:

Bedard might be lacking many things in his game, but he still tallies 46 points in 55 games. However, he also has a -23 rating, showing he has many issues defensively.
