The Nashville Predators veteran defenseman Luke Schenn called out his teammates over the team's massive struggles in a post-game interview last night.

We rarely see a team with as many great leaders as the Nashville Predators struggle this much on the ice. After acquiring Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault in free agency and extending Juuse Saros' contract, the team has all it needs to succeed but has been stuck at the bottom of their division all season long.

After 57 games, the Predators' 20-30-7 record is the worst in the Central Division, except for the Chicago Blackhawks, who have only 41 points in 58 games.

Last night, the Preds lost against the Florida Panthers. But what's worrying to see is that the team has only been able to score three goals in the three games since the end of the 4 Nations Face-Off break.

In fact, they are the second-worst team in the NHL for goals scored this season, with 147. Only the Anaheim Ducks have scored fewer goals, with 146.

Following the tough loss, the Preds' veteran Luke Schenn had some harsh words about his team. He blatantly stated that he has never been part of a team that struggled as much to score goals as they are.

In his own words:

"I mean, we play with passion. I don't even really know what to say anymore as far as the overall team game. Nothing's easy, obviously.

I don't think I've ever been part of a group where you literally can't score goals. Sometimes you're giving up a lot or the offensive game's not there, but at least you catch the odd break and get the puck in the net. And that's been hard to come by.

But if there's one thing to take out of the third game, it's that we had some passion. Um, you know, we obviously tried to do the best we could, stuck up for each other, and that's pretty much all there is to say about that, I guess."

The Predators had a tough schedule after the break, playing against the Colorado Avalanche, New Jersey Devils, and Florida Panthers. Their next challenge won't be an easy one, as they're set to face the Winnipeg Jets tomorrow.
