The Philadelphia Flyer honoured Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau before puck drop of their preseason game tonight against the New York Islanders.
The tragic passing of both Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau has continued to reverberate around the national hockey league since it happened in late August. The outpouring of support has been nothing but sensational with everybody rallying around the Gaudreau family. in fact earlier this week, The Flyers invited Guy Gaudreau, the father of Johnny and Matthew into the ice for training camp to show their support for the family.
Now the Philadelphia Flyers have honoured Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau ahead of their preseason clash with the New York Islanders earlier tonight.
As the National Hockey League, the Gaudreau family, fans in the hockey world continue to mourn the tragic way the Gaudreau brothers lost their lives all anyone can do is hope for healing, space and some sort of closure eventually for those that were family friends and teammates of the 2 brothers.
It's an unimaginable situation and all anyone can do is exactly what the hockey world is doing at the moment the way everybody has rallied around the family and continued to offer support, a shoulder and condolences is nothing short of exactly what you would expect from the hockey community.
There is a hole in the hockey community that will never be filled but one thing is for sure everybody regardless of how they knew Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau continued to be there for the family for as long as they need them to be the flyers were just the latest example Have an organization doing a first class job when it comes to a tribute to both the family and brothers. No matter what happens from here, the support will continue to be unwavering.
