For the first time since 2022, the Tampa Bay Lightning will be wearing a third jersey and yes - it will be primarily black.
Well-known uniform and logo reporter, Icethetics, made a post on X on Wednesday evening hinting that the Lightning will be introducing a new third jersey soon and it didn't take too long for the uniform to leak.
In the comments, an account by the the name of @seaniboiyates shared an image of a black Tampa Bay Lightning with their current shoulder patch enlarged and used at the front crest.
The uniform also features three stripes on each sleeve that appear to be white, blue and gray. Inside the collar features a unique touch, showing the years '04, '20 and '21, which are the three years the Lightning have won the Stanley Cup in their franchise's history.
Given that the leak is from an actual store and appears to be for sale already, there's a very good chance that the Lightning will be revealing this quite soon, potentially this week.
