Despite the talks quieting down in recent times in Vancouver, the drama surrounding J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson is still clearly evident, with teams in the East reportedly desperate to land Miller.
Thus far, it's only been the New York Rangers to aggressively make their intentions around Miller clear, but that doesn't mean other teams aren't interested, with the Boston Bruins reportedly expressing their interest in him recently.
While New York remain a very firm favourite, other teams have shown interest in both Pettersson and Miller, and with the Bruins pushing for a Stanley Cup run despite some questionable form as of late, this is no doubt a situation they'll be intrigued by.
Now, an intriguing mock trade from Sportskeeda has revealed a potential package from Boston that could lure Miller to the team as they desperately look to add some elite level talent around forward David Pastrnak.
While it's not the most exciting trade to come out of this potential situation, this one does fulfill the Canucks needs, as it would net them a solid centre to fill Miller's role on the team, all the while the Bruins would be getting the high end talent that they need up front.
Unfortunately for Boston though, this deal would see them give away the assets needed to improve their already very bare prospect cupboard, which is arguably the worst in the NHL, so unless they can get around that, a deal may remain highly unlikely.
