Evander Kane gives a blunt answer to why he lost it on Golden Knights player
Last night things got a little testy between the Edmonton Oilers and the Vegas Golden Knights in game two of their second-round series when Oliers forward Evander Kane broke the code and continued punching Vegas's Keegan Kolesar while be was downed.
Shortly after the game was over, TSN's Ryan Rishaug asked Kane about the events and he offered a simple yet pointed answer as to why he didn't stop when he should have. Take a look:
Asked Kane about the body shots on Kolesar - he felt he was grabbed from behind. «If you wanna F**** around sometimes you find out»
Kane felt he was grabbed from behind and used it as an excuse to throw all convention out the window, which is an interesting way to justify things.
He's tough enough that even of he felt the code was broken first by Kolesar, that's still no reason to continue raining down shots on a downed opponent.
In any case, this is certainly a way to stir up bad blood between the two sides. With the series tied at 1-1, there's a long way to go and one can only assume tensions will run even higher as the games continue to pass.
