The Detroit Red Wings are taking on the Vancouver Canucks this afternoon in what has turned out to be a rather heated game. First there was a huge hit on Lucas Raymond, now, a David Vs Goliath fight.
Red Wings forward Alex DeBrincat gets tangled up with Canucks defender Ian Cole and the pair drop the gloves, something that I'm sure DeBrincat quickly began to regret; take a look.
That's 5'7 165 lbs Alex Debrincat vs 6'1 225 lbs Ian Cole. #LGRW #Canucks
I'll give props where it's due, DeBrincat isn't afraid to drop the gloves with anybody, but this just isn't smart on his part at all.
Not only can DeBrincat barely reach Cole if at all because of the height discrepancy, but he just absorbs so many shots here, ended with an uppercut that hits him on the button.
If you're the Red Wings organization, you'd have to pull him aside and say enough with the fighting, right? They pay him to put points on the board, not get rag-dolled in fights.
