Amazing story of Shaun Weiss continues
Shaun Weiss was a child actor, and when his run as an actor came to an end he unfortunately developed an addiction to methamphetamine. Weiss was an amazing memory from my childhood. Growing up a hockey fan I can honestly admit I watched The Mighty Ducks movies hundreds of times. In the movie, Shaun played the goalie affectionately known just as "Goldberg", and as a young goalie I absolutely adored him.
For those who are unaware, Shaun's addiction almost cost him his life. It wasn't until a close friend, Drew Gallagher took it upon himself to help him get his life together that Shaun finally managed to get the necessary help. For anyone who has ever battled addiction they know how difficult this struggle is.
But on Wednesday Weiss was able to celebrate a major milestone. Wednesday marked Weiss' two-year anniversary of his sobriety. This photo shows just how far Weiss has managed to come in the past two years. This transformation didn't come easily for Weiss, who struggled through the process, but ultimately he persevered. T
Weiss, who is now 43, previously had all his teeth rot, but thanks to Dr. Gabe Rosenthal, his smile has finally been fixed free of charge. The extensive work would have cost upwards of $80,000 but thanks to this amazing doctor he's received this amazing gift.
Weiss is currently living in a sober living house in California while he continues to work on himself and his sobriety.
Congratulations Shaun.
For anyone struggling please don't be afraid to reach out and get yourself the help you deserve.
