Angry fan hits a Vancouver Canucks' forward with a bag of candy
Last night was an interesting night in the NHL. After the New Jersey Devils had 3 goals disallowed their fans littered the ice with garbage. But that wasn't the only incident of a fan throwing items on the ice.
With just over a minute left in the 3rd period the Colorado Avalanche forward Artturi Lehkonen was called for interfering with Conor Garland. With the Avalanche already trailing 4-3, the penalty drastically impacted the Avs ability to make a comeback.
One fan was so frustrated with the penalty they decided to throw some candy onto the ice. Unfortunately that package of candy hit Elias Pettersson and exploded onto the ice.
The candy delayed the game for a couple of minutes, but wouldn't have any major impact. The Canucks would hold on for a 4-3 victory.
