Arber Xhekaj absolutely dummies Zach Kassian in an early scrap (Video)
Arber Xhekaj developed a reputation in Juniors of being one of the toughest players on the ice. Xhekaj had a highlight reel of fights from his junior hockey days. But it's sometimes difficult to tell how those skills are going to transfer to the NHL level.
Well Xhekaj has answered almost all of those questions tonight. In the 1st period of tonight's game Xhekaj dropped the gloves with Arizona's Zach Kassian. Kassian has quite the reputation around his league for being one tough customer and yet Xhekaj handled him easily.
Both players received 5 minute majors on the play for fighting. But more importantly the rookie immediately established himself as a heavyweight.
