Auston Matthews wants the Maple Leafs to make a weird change to try and break the 1st round curse
Last season Auston Matthews scored 60 goals and of those 60 goals 32 of them came on home ice. That meant 32 times the Scotiabank Arena played "You Make My Dreams Come True" by Hall and Oates. The song has become a polarizing topic amongst the Maple Leafs fan base and has been the team's goal song during the entire 1st round curse.
Today Auston Matthews join the Tim & Friends television show and during that time he was asked how he feels about that goal song. Matthews offered a this reply.
I wouldn't mind hearing something different and maybe switching it up. Maybe a little Biebs. Maybe just change it up... switch it up. See if we can get something else going and maybe go on a nice little run. I'm always open to change but if they want to stick with it. That's fine as well.
It's very likely that Leafs fans will be hearing whatever song the Leafs pick a lot this year as Auston Matthews looks to have back-to-back 60 goal seasons. But I'm not sure even Bieber can get this team out of the 1st round.
