Blake Wheeler shares information on the gruesome injury he suffered to his balls
Winnipeg Jets forward Blake Wheeler will return to the lineup Friday against the Tampa Bay Lightning after suffering a brutal injury last year. Wheeler revealed that he suffered a ruptured testicle last month, while he was hit by a shot.
Wheeler suffered the injury Dec. 15 when he was hit by a shot from Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey in a matchup against the Nashville Predators. It's unbelievable that he was able come back for the third period and overtime of a Jets 2-1 OT win. He missed nine games with the ailment.
Wheeler is having a strong season for Winnipeg putting up nine goals and 17 assists in 29 games.
