The Boston Bruins are facing some significant injuries to start with season, with players like Charlie McAvoy and Brad Marchand. The Bruins will be looking to weather the storm until they get healthy, which is expected to occur around American Thanksgiving. Until then though the Bruins are looking for help with their roster.

Yesterday during a press conference Don Sweeney mentioned that the Bruins had extended a professional tryout to a veteran defenseman. Sweeney mentioned the ball was in the players court and that the team hoped to hear back soon. Today Sweeney received the call he was hoping for.

According to Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic that player has agreed to join the Bruins.

Sounds like Anton Stralman is headed to the Bruins on a PTO

Stralman was drafted 216th overall in the 2005 NHL Draft. He had gone on to play 930 games with 6 different franchises. Stralman has 293 points in his career, but is more known for his defensive play.
