In the wake of Hockey Canada's hearings with multiple Canadian governmental institutions, the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau offered serious criticism of the organization.
It is inconceivable that folks at Hockey Canada continue to dig in. It's not like there's something extraordinarily special about the people at Hockey Canada that means they are the only people in the country that can run an organization like this.
Trudeau went on to float the idea of the Canadian federal government stepping in to create a new national hockey body to entirely replace Hockey Canada.
In recent days, organizations are fleeing association from the selfish, inconsiderate, and seemingly intentionally backwards Hockey Canada. Tim Hortons and Canadian Tire have both pulled their prominent sponsorships, and Hockey Quebec has entirely left its parent organization.
With such united and rightful vitriol for the executives running Hockey Canada, especially coming from the Prime Minister, all Canadians should be hoping for the removal of all executives and a complete fresh start within the organization, or the creation of a new national hockey body entirely.
