Breaking News - Ottawa Senators and Chicago Blackhawks make a trade
The NHL rumor mill has been working overtime recently and tonight those trade conversations resulted in another trade. Tonight the Chicago Blackhawks officially made a move to acquire Nikita Zaitsev from the Ottawa Senators.
Zaitsev, a second in 2023 and fourth 2026 for future consdierdations to Chicago #Sens
Zaitsev had requested a trade multiple times from the Senators finally gets his wish for a fresh start with a new team. The Senators also paid a premium to clear out Zaitsev's contract. The Senators have been looking to add a defenseman for sometime and clearing Zaitsev's cap hit will definitely go a long way in doing so.
