Breaking News - Ottawa Senators sign forward to MASSIVE contract
Pierre Dorion has had one of the best off-seasons of any General Manager in the leagues and today that continued. The Ottawa Senators have locked up another one of their young core players. Ottawa has signed winger Tim Stutzle to an eight year extension with an $8,350,000 annual value.
The 3rd overall pick from the 2020 NHL draft has scored 34 goals and 87 points in 132 games so far in his young career.
GM Pierre Dorion now has the young core locked up to multi year deals. Stutzle joins captain Brady Tkachuk, Josh Norris, Drake Batherson, and Thomas Chabot as players with long term tickets in Ottawa.
Stutzle will be the Senators highest paid player when his extension kicks in for the 2023-2024 season. He will elapse Tkachuck's $8,205,714 AAV.
The 2022-2023 season will mark the 30th anniversary of the inaugural 1992-93 Senators season. The 30th season should a good one for Senators' fans.
