Breaking News - Patrice Bergeron makes decision on his future in Boston
The Boston Bruins appear to be poised to turn back the hands of time. With David Krejci in town reportedly scheduled to sign a contract to return to the NHL, it now sounds like Patrice Bergeron will be joining him.
Francois Gagnon of RDS was the first to report that Bergeron had come to terms with the Bruins on a 1-year contract.
Bergeron underwent surgery when the season ended, but he has reportedly been working towards a return to full health. Bergeron had a very successful season last year, winning his 5th Selke Trophy last season for best defensive forward in the league.
Bergeron returning on a team friendly deal would go a very long way to helping the Bruins complete in a very tough Atlantic Division.
This deal has since been confirmed by other sources.
