Buffalo Sabres defenseman shares what's changed in Buffalo after Jack Eichel trade
Lawrence Pilut was a member of the Buffalo Sabres from 2018-2020. After the disappointing 2020 season, Pilut opted to return to Europe for 2 more seasons of professional hockey. But this summer Pilut opted to make a return to the NHL.
During Pilut's first NHL stint the Sabres were mired by the distraction that was Jack Eichel. Multiple players have shared the toxic nature that was the Sabres locker room before the trade. Now it seems Pilut is adding onto that pile without using those exact words.
Pilut shared the following sentiment to Buffalo News:

During Eichel's time in Buffalo there were multiple rumors that circulated about a lack of responsibility in the room leading to a lack of growth. So while Pilut didn't address items specifically it's clear he's seen a major change in the Sabres team makeup and character.
