Cale Makar could be facing a fine from the NHL after embarrassing embellishment
Last night against the Edmonton Oilers, Norris Trophy candidate, Cale Makar was called for an embarrassing penalty. On the play Kailer Yamamoto was called for a clear hook, but not only did Yamamoto hook Makar, but Makar deservedly was called for embellishment.
Makar tried to get out of the penalty by trying to pretend like he was having issues with his skate, but it was a clear dive on the play.
Given the leagues history of policing star players it will be interesting to see how this is handled.
