Carey Price issues his first comment since news of his potential retirement leaked
Earlier this summer Montreal Canadiens' General Manager, Kent Hughes announced that Carey Price would miss the entire 2022-2023 season. Over the summer had attempted to use PRP treatment to prolong his NHL career, but unfortunately his body never responded favourably. Now it appears the goaltenders career is over.
Earlier this summer Carey's wife Angela shared that her husband was going through a tough time. Today for the first time Carey took to his Instagram account to share some thoughts.
I just want to thank everyone who has been Supportive over the past few weeks, months and years. It has been a very emotional time for myself. Merci. GO HABS GO!
If this is the end of Price's career he will be viewer as one of the best goaltenders to never win a Stanley Cup. During a 4 years stretch for the Canadiens, Price was virtually unbeatable. Unfortunately the Canadiens were unable to surround Price with the talent he deserved.
