Casey DeSmith leaves the game after hitting his head on the goal post
During the second period of the Penguins versus Rangers game, Pittsburgh goalie Casey DeSmith was forced to leave the game after striking his head on the goal post. Unfortunately for DeSmith he wasn't even scheduled to play tonight, but he'd entered the game after Tristan Jarry had been pulled after allowing 4 goals.
After DeSmith's head struck the post he immediately exited the game and headed off the ice. It was clear DeSmith was shaken up on the play. DeSmith accounted for only 4:19 of ice time and stopped all 3 shots he faced.
