Chicago Blackhawks and former NHLer take hilarious Twitter shots at Vegas
It seems everyone is having a little fun at Vegas' expense. A team that most fans penciled in for a playoff spot before the season began we're officially eliminated. The Dallas Stars picked up a point in a shootout loss to the Arizona Coyotes. The Golden Knights came out on the losing end of a 7 round shootout with the Chicago Blackhawks.
After the Game the Blackhawks tweeted out
It's been another tough season in Chicago so to get a win over a rival and help end their playoff hopes why not get in on the fun.
Former NHLer, Maxim Lapierre, also got in on the fun sending out a GIF of former teammate Marc-Andre Fleury, waving wearing a Vegas Golden Knight's Jersey. Fleury and Lapierre were teammates for Lapierre's last season in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 2014-2015 season. They are both from the province of Quebec. I'm sure Lapierre is with the majority of hockey fans that didn't like the way Vegas handled the Fleury situation the Summer after Fleury won a Vezina Trophy with the team.
Vegas was simply not good enough in the final stretch of the season. They only picked up one win in their last six games. It'll be an interesting offseason in Las Vegas as they try to figure out next steps for their roster.
