Colorado Avalanche forward left leaking after taking puck to the face
Only weeks after John Carlson had his ear torn off by a slap shot, another player was struck by a puck. During last night's game between the Colorado Avalanche and Chicago Blackhawks, forward Alex Newhook was the lastest victim.
The play happened late in the second period when a deflected shot came up and struck Newhook in the face. Blood immediately began to pool on the ice around Newhook. Newhook would immediately leave the game.
Newhook though would show off his toughness, heading to the locker room and getting stitched up only to return for the 3rd.
