The Colorado avalanche are 2 wins away from the Stanley Cup, but after the final is over, they have some serious decisions to make regarding who to sign and who to let walk. Among them, is deadline acquisition, Josh Manson, who Colorado may not be able to keep.
According to Pierre Lebrun of TSN, it's quite possible Manson tests the open market, given the Avs have to attempt to re-sign a slew of players including starting to negotiate an extension with star forward Nathan Mackinnon.
Manson, 30 is a stable stay at home D-man with a physical side. In 67 game split between the ducks and Avs this season he had 6 goals and 10 assists.
An interesting development here is a reunion with the Anaheim Ducks could be in order. Manson enjoyed his time there and the Ducks would have the cap room to re-sign Manson
