Connor McDavid makes Trevor Zegras look foolish and scores an incredible goal
The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Anaheim Ducks and they remained tied for the final wildcard spot. In case you missed it, Connor McDavid scored a remarkable goal in the first period. With the Oilers up 2-1 McDavid put a spin move on Trevor Zegras and backhanded the puck right under the crossbar for another highlight reel goal. Watch the replay of the goal below.
Connor McDavid continues to amaze the hockey world with his dazzling play. McDavid made his spin move on Zegras look easy and his backhand shot was mesmerizing. These are not beginner moves to pull off especially at the NHL level. You could even hear the expression from the Anaheim fans when McDavid made his move. They were in awe as well. McDavid is truly the best player in the NHL.
Although the Oilers have struggled at times this season, they're still in position for the final wildcard spot. They sure wouldn't be there if it wasn't for McDavid. He continues his amazing play and leads the league with seventy-nine points in only forty-three games. No one in the league is even close to that point total. You might as well give McDavid the Hart Trophy now for league MVP.
