Dallas Stars player refuses to report to camp, chooses to holdout
The Dallas Stars have spent most of the summer trying to come to terms with their two most important players for new contracts. After signing Jake Oettinger to a new contract, the Stars turned their attention to Jason Robertson. Unfortunately though the Stars have been unable to come to common ground with their best player.
During the summer the Stars owners made comments about young players wanting to be paid after one good season. This comment appeared directed at Robertson and now it appears that may have rubbed the young forward the wrong way.
Last season Robertson had 41 goals and 79 points in his 3rd NHL season. Despite negotiations being ongoing Robertson decided to not report to Dallas and he will not be near the teams training camp.

With the season set to start in approximately 2 weeks it could be crucial to getting a deal done for the Stars as they look to make the playoffs again this season.
