The Calgary Flames have been one of the hottest teams in the NHL since the Christmas break. They lost only one game in February and have moved into first place in the Pacific division.
On Sunday, the Flames were shutout by the Colorado Avalanche 3-0 on the road. When Calgary returned home, Darryl Sutter met with the media and was asked what a playoff matchup against the Colorado Avalanche would look like. The coach gave a blunt answer.
If you are a wild card team I sure as hell don't want to play Colorado in the first round, because it's going to be a waste of eight days. - Darryl Sutter.
Sutter has picked his Stanley Cup favourite and it's the Colorado Avalanche.
