David Pastrnak checks Pierre-Luc Dubois to the ice, after PLD elbows him up high
David Pastrnak isn't exactly know for his physical play. He doesn't have a highlight reel of big checks, but what he does have is enough self respect to stand up for himself. So yesterday when Pierre-Luc Dubois delivered an elbow to the head of Pasta, Pasta saw no other alternative but to hit Dubois back.
As Dubois approached Pasta, he leaned into a hit and sent Dubois the ice. Dubois may have embellished a bit, but he was able to get the call on the play.
Dubois got away with the elbow on the play, while Pastrnak was given 2-minutes for interference. Canada would go on to win the game and advanced to the Finals against the host Finland.
