The Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues continued their series Monday night in St. Louis. The Avalanche were looking to take a 3-1 series lead, while the Blues were hoping to tie the series.
The big narrative heading into the game was how the Blues might retaliate towards Nazem Kadri. In Game 3 a collision involving Kadri, Calle Rosen and Jordan Binnington, took Binnington out if the series.
It became clear that that Blues hadn't forgotten what happened. During the 2nd period both Pavel Buchnevich and David Perron would try to get hold of Kadri after the whistle.
That apparently wasn't enough though, because after Kadri scored his 2nd goal of the game, he was narrowly able to escape an attempted elbow to the head from Perron. Luckily for Kadri and Perron the elbow missed, but there was a clear intent to injure on the play.
