The Toronto Maple Leafs are playing the Florida Panthers at home tonight and while the game has been sloppy both ways, the star of the show has been the officiating throughout tonight's contest.

During the second period of play, initially the referees call a penalty because Florida forward Sam Bennet, but after a quick conference after the call it was reversed, take a look:

The only problem, is after the review, they call Timothy Liljgren for interference for passing Ilya Samsonov's stick back to him it wasn't even him, it was Pierre Envall.

Listen, I know officiating an NHL game is hard and in the large scheme of things, getting the call correct after having a conference is a good thing, but you'd t think they would get the right player for the infraction.

Officiating across the league has been abysmal for some time, but it feels like during the 2022-23 season, it's at an all time low across the league.

When everyone in the arena, watching on television and on the ice are confused, maybe just maybe you have the call wrong.
