Evgeni Malkin furious after feeling disrespected by the Penguins
The Pittsburgh Penguins are a modern day dynasty and the most important part of that has been Sidney Crosby, but he is followed closely behind by Evgeni Malkin. Now as Malkin heads towards free agency it becomes clear that this reputation may be irreparable.
Malkin has spent his entire NHL career with the Penguins and yet, can't seem to get a fair offer from management when it comes to his next contract with the team. According to Rob Rossi of The Athletic, the star feels as though he hasn't received the respect he's earned during the negotiation process with Pittsburgh, especially as a legacy player.
Malkin, 35, played in 41 games with with the pens this season and had 20 goals and 22 assists for 42 points
Is Malkin's tenure with the Pittsburgh Penguins coming to an end? It certainly looks that way, I guess we'll see when free agency opens on the 13th
