Evgeny Kuznetsov fined for the softest high stick ever
George Parros and the Department of Play Safety are busy this playoff season.
Washington's Evgeny Kuznetsov was fined the CBA Max $5,000 dollars for a high-stick on Noel Accari during a scrum.
The Washington Capital's have been a consistent thorn in the President's Trophy Winner's side, using a Trap to contain the Panthers' usually dynamic offense.
The play in question occurred with 3:57 remaining in the first period just after Ilya Samsonov had frozen the puck after making a save on Patric Hornqvist. Kuzy was not penalized for the infraction during the game. Andrew Brunette has made a spectacular run as a rookie head coach with this team, since Coach Q left and he needs to figure out how to neutralize the Capitals and quick, if they are to make it past the first round.
