Patrice Bergeron cut near his eye, leaves game
With less than 30 seconds remaining in the 2nd period, Bruins star Patrice Bergeron was cut by a high stick from Sebastian Aho. The cut appeared to be dangerously close to Bergeron's eye. Bergeron left the ice to be tended to by Bruins medical staff.
We saw yesterday when Darcy Kuemper took a stick to the eye just how dangerous things can be on the ice.
Sebastian Aho was given a 4 minute double minor for high sticking on the play. This will put the Bruins on a 5 on 3 power play to begin the third period. The end of the period will also provide Bergeron an opportunity to be stitched up to return for the third.
