There are some nights when your favorite hockey team is tough to watch. You know those nights when it feels like nothing is going your team's way. While usually separating yourself from such an effort simply means changing the channel.

But what happens if you're in attendance for one of those games? Well for one fan, when his team fell down by 3 goals, he couldn't bring himself to watch any longer. So rather than continuing to watch, he turned to the fire alarm to try and help his team.

Fire Alarm Going Off At The Merrimack Vs BU Hockey Game.

Currently evacuating Lawler Arena.

While initially it wasn't known the cause of the alarm, it was quickly investigated and revealed that someone had intentionally pulled the alarm.

sounds like someone pulled the fire alarm (we're up 3-0 so can't blame them). we'll play the final 1:49 of the second period shortly, take a 2:00 break, then play the third period.

Unfortunately for the fan, the fire alarm wasn't enough to save his team and Boston University went onto win the game 4-1. So while the fan was searching for an assist, his plan was clearly not very well thought out.
