Former NHLer Tony Amonte was on the broadcast for NBC sports adding major fuel to the rumours of Patrice Bergeron signing with Montreal in the summer.

Bergeron's contract expires after this season. The Bruins captain said before the season that he was taking things year-to-year at this point and didn't plan to sign a new contract until after the season if he wanted to continue playing.

Current GM of the Canadiens Kent Hughes was Bergeron's agent for the entirety of his career. He only changed representation when Hughes landed the GM job with Montreal. The 36 year old is from Quebec.

Habs fans will be salivating at the chance to have rumored 1st overall pick Shane Wright and Bergeron in red, blue and white next season. Scouts have said Wright's two way game reminds them of Bergeron. Who better to learn from day to day.

It's worth noting that Bergeron grew up a Nordiques fan and has said he despised the Canadiens long before he became a Bruin. People need change sometimes and when you have a long time friend in your ear you never know.
