According to Hockey Analyst Kevin Weekes, former New York Islanders first-round pick Josh Ho-Sang has signed a one year deal with Salavat Yulayev Oufa of the KHL.

Ho-Sang has amassed 53 games in the NHL and over 200 in the AHL. He played with the Toronto Marlies last season, scoring 35 points in 47 games.

The Ontario Native also represented Canada at the Beijing Olympics last February, where he had three assists in five games. When Ho-Sang signed with the Maple Leafs organization he was hoping to get a chance to salvage his NHL career, instead be just received another AHL season.

This will be Ho-Sang's second trip to Europe. He played nine games in the Swedish Elite League in 2020-21.
