Hot mic captures Brad Marchand ripping Jake Guentzel during the Winter Classic
During the 2023 NHL Winter Classic the Boston Bruins faced off against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Bruins ultimately defeated the Penguins 2-1 after a third period.
However, one Boston Bruins player was up to his usual antics during the game.
After being cross-checked from behind by Jake Guentzel, Brad Marchand would go on to chirp and use his usual rat tactics on Guenztel and Bryan Rust.
Marchand is one of the biggest rats in the NHL at the moment and always gets the better of his opponents. The NHL Winter Classic was no different, as Marchand not only chirped Guentzel and Rust, to keep them on their toes but added an assist on one of Jake DeBrusk's goals as well.
"Pest" and Marchand will be tied together in sentences describing his career, despite his offensive skills.
This video alone proves exactly why the Bruins are as good of a team as they are. The committment to one and other is what makes this year's team special.
