Insider reveals two players Lou Lamoreillo has already signed, but hasn't made public
Lou Lamoreillo is known for the cone of silence that he likes to maintain around his club. As a General Manager, Lou has been known to keep deals close to his chest until he is forced to reveal them. Lou has also been known to shutdown any trade talks or negotiations if any details become public.
There are even rumours that this is exactly what happened to a deal between the Islanders and Vancouver Canucks. Rumours began to leak that of a potential trade involving JT Miller. Once the information began to leak it is reported that Lou pulled out of any deal immediately.
Now it appears Lou has quietly completed even more business behind the scenes. According to James Nichols who covers the Islanders it appears Lou has also signed two of his restricted free agents.
The Islanders currently sit with over $11,000,000 in cap space and with Lou's history of signing restricted free agents to value deals it's easy to believe they likely will have between 4-5 million remaining after these signings. With the rumoured off to Nazem Kadri in the neighborhood of $7,000,000 it will be interesting to see how the Isles make it work.
