Kailer Yamamoto injured after big hit by Gabriel Landeskog

Game 1 between the Colorado Avalanche and Edmonton Oilers had very little physicality. In Game 2 both teams stepped it up and set a more physical tone right away in the first period. That included both teams star players laying the body.
Gabriel Landeskog caught Oilers forward Kailer Yamamoto while he was catching a pass along the blue line. Yamamoto is only listed at 5'8" tall, so it is hard not to hit him up high. Landeskog threw his shoulder into Yamamoto and knocked him hard off the puck.
The play happened so fast it was hard to tell exactly where Landeskog caught Yamamoto but it did look shoulder to shoulder. Yamamoto didn't seem hurt initially but later went back to the locker room to be checked out. The Oilers announced he would not return for the rest of game 2. This could be a big loss to the Oilers forward depth if he misses any more games.
