In the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, the Minnesota Wild selected Luke Kunin 16th Overall. After spending time in the NCAA and AHL, Kunin finally found his role in the 2019-2020 season, on a line with Jordan Greenway, and Joel Eriksson Ek, affectionately referred to as the "GEEK Squad». But after that season had finished Kunin was traded to the Nashville Predators.
Sunday night, Kunin and former line mate Jordan Greenway got into a shoving match. Marcus Foligno, who was also with the Wild while Kunin was there, took exception to the play and dropped the gloves with Kunin.
Marcus Foligno has been playing a very physical game for Minnesota lately. He has narrowly escaped suspension multiple times this year and is already up to 8 fights this season.
