38-year old veteran Mark Giordano has been traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Toronto local has been linked to the Leafs for a while now, and that has now come true. He will be joining former partner from Calgary, TJ Brodie on the Leafs.
Giordano recently played his 1000th game, so he brings a lot of experience. He was also the captain in both Calgary and Seattle, bringing great leadership to his new club. He currently has 23 points in 55 games with Seattle this year.
He will immediately be slotted into Toronto's top four on defense and strengthens a weakness for the Leafs. Giordano was certainly one of the biggest names on the market. It's definitely a big addition made by Kyle Dubas.
