Steve Yzerman signs another free agent to a team friendly deal
The Detroit Red Wings signed their last remaining RFA forward Filip Zadina to a three-year contract with a $1.825 AAV.
The sixth overall selection in 2018 had 10 goals and 24 points in 74 games last season.
In 160 career NHL games, the Pardubice, Czechia native has 25 goals and 61 points.
If the Red Wings are going to take a leap forward in their rebuild this season, they need players like him to find some more consistency in their game. After being selected Zadina made the claim that he was going to make all the teams who passed on him regret it.
Something he has yet to do by any stretch.
