Lightning forward unavailable for post game comments due to continued injury treatment
Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brayden Point was not available for post game media availability because he was continuing to receive treatment for his nagging lower body injury.
Point has been injured since the first round of the playoffs due to a lower body injury he suffered in Game 7 against Toronto.
The former 79th overall pick in 2004 returned for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals Wednesday night. He provided one assist in his 17:59 TOI. HIs Lightning fought back from a 3-1 deficit after the first period. Tampa Coach Jon Cooper had his team respond well in the second getting two goals to tie the game. The score stayed that way until overtime where Avs Winger Andre Burakovsky won it for Colorado.
This time a year everyone is playing with a nagging injury but it appears that Point is the player that is playing the most hurt of all.
