The New Jersey Devils and the Toronto Maple Leafs are playing in New Jersey tonight and fans are not happy.
The Devils have has 3 goals called back in a single game. 2 for interference and the 3rd as a result of a distinct kicking motion. Fans didn't take any of the no goal calls well, but after the last no goal they're letting loose. Here's the third no goal call.
After, fans started littering the ice with debris, even hitting some Maple Leaf players sending them to their locker room while rink staff cleared the ice.
I get being upset if you're a Devils fan, I do, but throwing things on the ice crosses the line. Not only does it delay the game (by over 5 minutes) it's classless as well and could even result in another penalty for New Jersey.
I love that hockey is a hot button topic and the Devils are relevant on New Jersey again, but this isn't a great look for the fan base. The Devils were lucky to avoid a penalty on this play for delay of game.
