Marc-Andre Fleury now holds a record for all players in major sports
Marc-Andre Fleury's career has been well documented. He's one of the best goalies of his generation. Fleury is a 3-time Stanley Cup Champion and a Vezina Trophy winner. Well now you can add another record to Fleury's illustrious resume.
With his playoff berth with the Minnesota Wild, Marc-Andre Fleury has officially set a major professional sports record. The playoff berth marks Fleury's 16th consecutive season making the playoffs. This record stands not only as an NHL record, but professional sports record.
Both Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are ineligible for this record as both men missed the entire 2011 playoffs with injury, while Kris Letang who would have been at 15-years missed the entire 2017 playoffs.
This record just shows not only Fleury's incredible durability but his dedication as well.
