There's no one tougher than a hockey players, over the years we've heard amazing stories of players pushing through injuries to contribute to their team. We've already heard a story about Tristan Jarry playing through a broken foot and now a story of another player pushing through significant injury has emerged.

Sarah McLellan who covers the Minnesota Wild shared the following information:

Matt Dumba suffered a punctured lung, dislocated rib and broken rib from that April 5 game in Nashville. "I felt good enough to play," Dumba said.

McLellan also provided a little insight into the Injury:

On April 5, during the Minnesota Wild's visit to the Nashville Predators, Dumba apparently broke a rib and dislocated another, and then that caused a punctured lung. And looking back on the play that caused the injury, I would say that makes some sense.

According to Matt Dumba, during his last media availability before the off-season, he would confirm his injuries and admitted playing with serious injuries versus St. Louis.

Dumba missed 12 of 13 games to end the season, but wanted to be part of the Wild's playoff run. He'll likely need this off-season to fully recover from this significant injury.
