McDavid was pissed off at Evander Kane's empty net celebration (Video)
In-Game 6 of the contentious L.A. Kings and Edmonton Oiler's series, Evander Kane threw up 7 fingers as part of his celly. It appeared like in the group celebration McDavid was frustrated with Kane's celebration.
After returning to the bench it appeared like McDavid was cursing and looking in Kane's direction.
McDavid isn't one I'd chalk up as being a big trash talker, as his on-ice play is pretty definitive.
Kane has experienced an undeserved redemption arc, thanks to Ken Holland and the Oilers are benefitting. The Oilers have really copied and pasted mediocre goaltending, with a high offensive output to stay alive, in spite of the Kings' fight to stay in the series.
It's clear Kane was trying to upset the Los Angeles crowd, but in the process could Kane have given the Kings some additional motivation? Games 7 goes Saturday night from Edmonton
